Burnett\u2019s \nDisinfectant Fluid,\u201d has occasioned many poisonings, both accidental and suicidal.  \nMost of the Zinc-m. symptoms are the usual effects of a corrosive poison, but some characteristic symptoms \nappear. One of them was the perversion of the senses of smell and taste. Things had a putrid smell and taste \nwhich were not putrid and feces had no odor at all. Quinine had no bitter taste  and acids and alkalis had no \nacid or alkaline taste.
