## Keynote Indications
Bojanus proved Spiraea ulma ria, taking substantial doses. A leading symptom was the 
production of general and local heat. Heat in throat in esophagus, under sternum, under ensiform cartilage.  
Bojanus was seized with remorse, a kind of morbid conscientiousness. Fullness and heaviness  of head. 
Washing with cold water was very unpleasant and caused a feeling as if the head were too large.  
A scurfy condition of eyelids and heaviness of lids after afternoon sleep were noted. The urine was turbid as if 
mixed with clay and deposited red sand, had an oily film on the surface. 
The burning in esophagus was better by eating and drinking but not by empty swal lowing. Burning and 
pressure in esophagus, feels contracted but not made worse by swallowing.  
Relieves irritation of the urinary passages influences the prostate gland. Checks gleet and prostatorrhea. Bites 
of mad animals. Heat in various parts. 
Hansen mentioned that Spirae. was recommended in hydrophobia, epilepsy and eclampsia.
