## Keynote Indications
Ol-an. is an oil obtained from the preparation of bone-black and further distilled and rectified
for medicinal use. It was discovered in 1711 by Johann Conrad Dippel, the alchemist, who was the discoverer
of Prussian blue.
Dippel obtained it in the first instance by a distillation of stags' horns, the deciduous horns of the stag partaking
more of the nature of bone than the permanent horns of cattle. This lead to the name Oleum cornu cervi, with
which the Ol-an. is at present prepared is considered identical.
Sircar noted that though it is not the pana cea which Dippel imagined it to be when he discovered it, Ol -an. in
a very powerful medicinal substance and since it has been well proved by Nenning, Schreter and Trinks, it has
a definite place in the Homeopathic Materia Medica.
Grimmer indicated it in cases of breast cancer with burning or sticking and pres sure radiating in all directions,
relieved by rubbing and in the open air. A uterine tumor cured with several doses of Ol -an. 1000c potency
given at long intervals shows its relationship to new growths.
Pain in spots. Stitches, burning pains, as with red hot needles. “Pulled upward’’ and “from behind forward”

spermatic cord. Tremulous weakness of hands, knees, feet etc. Shuffling gait.
