Vertigo with headache and nausea, \nwith lightness and emptiness of head. Vertigo feels as if floating in air. \nCOMMENTS - Stonham reported a case in which a dark-haired young man ate two nutmegs one morning. In \nthe afternoon, he was exhilarated, able to do more than usual, to argue on any subject. At dinner, his mouth \nwas dry, he had great thirst, felt he could not drink enough to quench it. \nAfter dinner, his head felt strange, as if in a dream, but he jointed a small musical party as he had intended. \nHe seemed to be two people. His rea l, conscious self seemed to be watching his other self playing. He could \nnot play well and had to stop. He seemed lost and when spoken to would come to himself with a start. He \ncould hear distant sounds much more acutely than usual. \nA woman who ate several  nutmegs in an attempt to bring on a miscarriage halluci nated that she had two \nheads. \nA. P. Williamson recorded one case of a woman who took grated nutmeg for diar rhea. After the second dose \nof half a nutmeg, her head felt queer and dizzy, then her head felt large. \nShe could not reply to questions, although her eyes were open and she seemed to understand.  \nHer pupils dilated, eyes starting, face pale, respiration was labored. She was semi -conscious and had to be \nshouted at, but relapsed into semi-consciousness. P. Wells said that \u201cin brain disorders of infants in the stupor with insensibility and unconquerable desire to \nsleep. Whether in idiopathic disorders of the brain or in those occurring during cholera infantum. Nux-m. is one \nof the most precious remedies in the Materia Medica.\u201d \nJ.
