Source: Derived from sodium sulphate ( Na₂SO₄), also known as Glauber’s salt, a mineral salt,. prepared for homeopathic use through trituration and serial dilution to enhance therapeutic action. while eliminating material effects, in accordance with homeopathic pharmacopeia standards. Traditional  Context:  Historically  employed  in  homeopathy  for  hepatic,  respiratory,. psychological, musculoskeletal, and dermatological disorders , particularly those involving liver. dysfunction,  respiratory  congestion,  and  emotional  despair.  It  is  noted  for  symptoms  such  as. jaundice, asthma, depression, and joint pains, often aggravated by damp weather, morning, or. emotional stress, and ameliorated by dry weather, open air, or motion. Modern  Context:  Indicated  for  hepatic  conditions (e.g.,  hepatitis,  cirrhosis),  respiratory. conditions (e.g., asthma, chronic bronchitis),  psychological conditions  (e.g., major depressive. disorder, suicidal ideation),  musculoskeletal conditions  (e.g., osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia), and. dermatological  conditions (e.g.,  eczema,  psoriasis).  It  suits  patients  with  acute  or  chronic. symptoms  characterized  by  jaundice,  respiratory  congestion,  depression,  joint  pains,  or. sensitivity to dampness, typically exacerbated by damp weather, morning, or emotional stress, and. often seen in individuals with sycotic, water-retentive constitutions. The remedy is particularly. relevant for those with hepatic or respiratory conditions, often presenting with symptoms like. yellowing  skin  or  wheezing,  commonly  observed  in  patients  with  hepatitis,  asthma,  or  major. depressive disorder triggered by damp environments, grief, or metabolic imbalance.
