## Keynote Indications
The introduction of Sali - cylic acid and Nat-sal. into general practice as remedies in 
rheumatism which led to much overdosing. Affinity for the joints. Affects the head, ear, throat, kidneys, liver 
and metabolism. Increases the quantity of bile. 
 
 
Vertigo when objects seem to move to the right, wo rse on rising from lying. Giddiness, worse on rising from 
lying. Marked effect upon the internal ear with vertigo, deafness, noises in the ears with loss of bone conduc -
tion. Meniere’s disease. Intense tinnitus aurium with deafness. 
Hemorrhages, especially nosebleed. Follicular tonsillitis. Prostration after influenza. Temperature subnormal 
with slow pulse. Lassitude, drowsiness, listlessness, tremor. Periosteal rheumatism. Pains of gout and 
rheumatism in the joints.

### Vertigo
- Vertigo, giddiness, worse raising  head or sitting up, better lying down.

- COMMENTS - Nat-sal.
- has been used freely in the manufacture of beer to prevent fermenta tion and this has 
caused poisoning symptoms, notably sweating and tenderness of the feet with dark colored and enlarged 
veins.
- In some of the overdoses, high fever with delirium was produced.
- Divergent strabismus and stammering were 
marked pathogenic effects in one case.
- Irritation of inguinal glands, abscess in axilla.
- Clarke gave Nat-sal.
- 3c to a patient recovering from influenza who had symptoms of vertigo with noises in the 
head, the patient was so much relieved by the medicine of her weakness and depression that she named the 
remedy her “tonic.”

- Pupils dilated, very slightly sensitive to light marked divergent strabismus.

### Ears
- Auditory vertigo.

of forehead.

### Mouth
- Speech hoarse, indistinct, stammer ing, some words she cannot pronounc e.
- Dryness in mouth and 
throat with great thirst.
- Pulse - Pulse stronger, arterial pressure increased.
- Pulse irregular, small, weak, compressible.

### Chest
- Dyspnea, breathing noisy, shallow, panting, irregular pulse.
- Complete loss of voice.
- Dyspnea with great heat.
- Breathing so noisy it was heard in street, gasps for air.
- Breathing is shallow.
- Panting respiration, like that of a hunting-dog.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Vomiting, unconsciousness.
- Temperature - Wild delirium, with great heat, dyspnea.
- High fever with intense thirst.
- Fever and rash come 
only with disappearance of rheumatic pains.
- Inguinal glands swollen, sensitive.
- Great thirst.
- Appetite lost.

### Extremities
- Axillary abscess.
- Strong itching on back of right hand.
- Feet swollen, soles tender, veins of dorsa much 
congested.

### Skin
- Tingling and itching.
- Edema and urticaria, red in circumscribed patch es.
- Pemphigoid eruption.
