## Keynote Indications
Nat-hchls., the well -known disinfecting fluid, is one of Cooper’s additions to the Materia 
Medica. His proving brought out some very characteristic features, although there is a close general 
resemblance to Nat-m. The chlorine radical determines irritation of the skin and mucus membranes, the sodium 
induces extreme sensitivity to humidity. 
The indications are not the result of a Homeopathic proving, but the result of the information given by th e 
toxicology and the clinical usage of the remedy. 
Nat-hchls. affects profoundly the entire organism and causes rapid emaciation, fainting, weakness with a 
flabbiness most pronounced along the mucus tracts with a diffused hydrogenoid condition and a tenden cy to 
leucocytosis. 
Eczema and itching, more particularly localized on the upper limbs and the face. Anaphylaxis caused by 
cutaneous intolerance of aproduct. Chronic catarrhal diseases of the middle ear. Phlegmatic. Congested and 
atonic states of the uterus and its ligaments with hepatic disorders. Both hands swollen in morning. Depressed, 
faint.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better after stool, from cold ap plications. Worse from eating or drinking, drinking least drop of 
cold water, warm drinks. Worse by washing, damp, warmth, lying on either side. Worse before each menstrual 
period, before stool.

## Symptoms by System

### Vertigo
- Vertigo with aching across forehead.
- Swimming feeling, as if top of head would float off.
- COMMENTS - Drowsiness, cannot sit down without falling asleep.

### Head
- Headaches.

### Eyes
- Eyes red, weeping, eyelids puffy, red and itching.

### Ears

### Face
- Edema of the face.

### Mouth
- Putrid taste.
- Furred tongue, large, flabby indented.
- Flat ulcer on tongue far back towards root.

irritable spots along sides of tongue and throat.

### Throat
- Throat red and sore, with difficult swallowing.
- Burning in the pharynx with redness, choking cough.

### Chest
- Pulmonary edema, capillary bronchitis.
- Dyspnea, aggravated by the coughing.
- Dry, i rritating, painful 
cough in fits and then frothy, pink sputum.
- Cough with aphonia.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Drowsy after meals.
- Burning in epigastrium, with acrid vomiting, hematemesis.
- Swelling low in abdomen going up to chest and causing dyspnea, worse after eating with much 
flatus.

### Urinary & Genital
- Violent metrorrhagia.

### Extremities

- Constitutions - Phlegmatic, flabby, debilitated constitutions.
- Coughs - Cough with aphonia.

### Skin
- Generalized or localized itching, better by scratching.
- Recurring erythema with appearance of vesicles 
filled with a whitish, oozing liquid.
- Weeping eczema.
- Dry eczema in nursing children.

### Sleep
- Drowsiness after meals.
- Drowsy by day, wakeful by night.
- Cannot sit down without falling asleep.
- Disinclined to rise in morning.
- Child looks ghastly, as if dead, when asleep, his sleep is quiet.
