membranes are congested and secretions are increased or decreased.
- A powerful cholagogue, it induces 
inflammation and fatty degeneration of the liver.
- Destroys red corpuscles and causes anemia.
- S ensitive bones and periosteum, with periostitis.
- Paralysis and 
progressive muscular atrophy of the cerebrospinal system.
- Fissures, excoriation, and suppuration of the skin.
- Lippe noted the indication “Suppuration of skin round joints.” Pritchard quoted ob servations of Grille that 
workmen in manganese mines do not get itch and those who come to the work with itch get cured of it.

Guernsey noted that “The bones are v ery sensitive, red spots on the skin, which are elevated, owing to bone 
disorders.

near left border after an application with lunar caustic.

severe stinging burning at the left edge of his tongue and the inner side of his left cheek when touching the 
tongue.
- In this state he came to Hansen after al lopathic treatment.

Mang, was chosen and made a rapid and permanent cure.

- Palmer reported a case of catarrhal deafness cured with Mang.

- Miss H., 38, had dull hearing, dry 
throat with hoarseness, itching in ears, loud rumbling, worse night, right ear, crackling on blo wing nose, and 
deafness in damp weather.
- The last was the 
guiding symptom.
- Cooper gave several ear-cases in which Mang, proved curative.
- The first concerned a nodule appearance of 
malleus handle, thickened irregularly, with history of bilious headaches and  of previous discharges from the 
ears.
- The ear drum membrane had a granular appearance.
- Purple glazed appearance of the malleus handles, which 
were thickened and very prominent, upper segment of membrane also purple and glazed.
- The second concerned a case of chronic periostitis of the meatus and middle ear with otorrhea, left ear.
- Cooper 
also noted a case of otorrhea with earache, pain shot up from teeth to ear, the earache was worse after early 
dinner, up until 8 or 9 p.m.

- The fourth case concerned sensitive ears, took cold and got a headache, history of gallstones and jaundice, 
sleepy and head ache in afternoon, bitter taste in morning, lips glued together, whistling tinnitus worse in a 
cold, (explosions, Mag-carb., rasping, shrill tinnitus as well as cardiac tinnitus, pumping, Kali-i.).
- The final case Cooper recorded was deafness in a woman, 36, which dated from when she was 14 from over-
strain in singing, when she lost her voice and hearing for six months.
- Her left hearing returned, right remained 
deaf, worse after a cold or if over-excited or worried.

hours and left suddenly.
