An\nexperienced veterinary  surgeon found that in areas where horses\nsuffered from this disease, the co ws and other cattle contracted a\ncondition like smallpox by sitting on the grass.  It is an established\nfact that in homoeopathy, Malandrinum has been used very effectively\nin curing smallpox.  It is also famous for its prevention.  It has also\nbeen found very useful to annul the ill effects of the smallpox\nvaccination.  A group of doctors experimented on four children.  They\ngave Malandrinum to three of them  but not to the fourth one.  All\nwere then vaccinated against smallpox.  The child who was not given\nMalandrinum exhibited the most severe reaction to the vaccine while\nthe other three did not.  Another doc tor vaccinated one child but did\nnot vaccinate another.  To the latt er, he simply gave Malandrinum.\nThe vaccinated child contracted smallpox while the non-vaccinated\nchild did not. Once during an epid emic of smallpox, another doctor\ncontinued treating the patients a nd himself using only Malandrinum\n30 in repeated doses.  He and ot hers who had taken Malandrinum\nremained safe from contracting smallpox.\n\nWith the use of Malandrinum, even after having been afflicted with\nsmallpox, the patient makes rapid recovery without any serious\ndamage.  Doctor Burnett is of the opinion that Malandrinum is a\nprofoundly active and effective homoe opathic remedy, and as such it\nshould not be repeated unnecessarily.  It may be repeated but only\nduring an acute illness.  As a preventive measure it should only be\nrepeated after a long interval.\n\nMalandrinum is also useful in the treatment of eczema developing\nafter a smallpox vaccination.  Ho wever Thuja is known to be much\nbetter regarding the control of ba d side effects of the smallpox\nvaccination.\n\nMalandrinum has an effect on the bones also.  If the bones become\ndeformed and bent, causing knock-knees (genu valgum), then\nMalandrinum will be helpful in co rrecting the deformities.  No doubt,\nCalcarea Carb is the most usef ul for strengtheni ng the weakened\nbones.  Malandrinum also works well, though.\n\nMalandrinum is also useful in the treatment of skin conditions\nincluding different forms of eczema, blisters and pustule formation.\nIts blisters\/pustules appear gradually in the form of crops, one after the\nother, over a long time.  Malandri num is also found useful in the\ntreatment of similar diseases of cat tle.  One doctor successfully cured\na dog riddled with pustules on his neck with Malandrinum.\n\nMalandrinum is also useful in the treatment of joint pains\nassociated with inflammation of their inner linings (synovitis).\nUsually, it is more effective on the lower half of the body such as the\nlegs, from the knees down to the ankles.  Malandrinum is also of use\nin treating backache due to muscle  injury.
