It is often found that the physi cal characteristics of substances correspond \nwith their dynamic influences, so there is reason for supposing that this softness has a soothing ef fect upon \nthe nervous system when used in baths. \nMag-c. is to exhausted nerves what Chin, is to exhaustion from loss of fluids. Worn -out condition, often \nproduced during pregnancy or menses as these are an additional tax on a women's strength.  \nCharacteristic sensitiveness, mental and bodily, sensitivity to touch, to cold air. Lightening -like neuralgia, worse on the left \nside, insupportable during repose, must get up and walk about. \nTired and painful feeling, especially the legs and feet, aching, restless. Neonatal jaundice with gas, bloating and colic, light -colored stools and failure \nto thrive (Aeth.). Marasmus. Inordinate craving for meat in children of tubercular parentage, averse to \nvegetables. \nTeething (Cham.), with colic. Cooper mentioned it as a possible remedy in pyorrhea alveolaris. \nMenses preceded by labor -like pain, cut ting colic, backache, weakness, chilliness. Menses late and scanty, \nflow only at night or when lying down, cease when walking. Flow acrid, dark, pitch -like, difficult to wash off. \nVomiting and toothache during pregnancy. \nCooper gave the indication as a \u201cworn -out women,\u201d that is, the state of nervousness induced by excess of \ncares and worries of life. Mag -c. 200c, repeated three or four times a day, has given untold relief to many a \npatient of this kind. When constipation and heaviness are present these will be removed at the same time.  \nTwo cases of neuralgia, related by A. I. Harvey, are quoted in Amer. Hom. The first case is that of a carpenter. \n50, who had a light complexion, spare. He had facial neuralgia for two years coming in attacks, lasting from \nthree to seven days, at intervals of two or three weeks. Sharp pain, shooting from left side of face and head, \nworse at night, from pressure, from jar. Mag-c. cured promptly after the failure of Spig. \nThe second case was that of a blacksmith, 22, who had a light complexion, full figure. For several years he \nhad attacks of facial neuralgia coming on after taking cold. Very severe pain in the left orbital region, shoot ing \ndown into the eye and fa ce and back to occipital region. Begins in morning, grows worse until noon, then \nsubsides. No pain at night, rests well. Spig. and Kali-bi. failed. Mag-c., cured promptly.","Head":"Dullness of head from mental exertion.
