Lac-d. contains Nat -m., so it shares a thirst for large quantities, nausea and vomiting, and depression with crying and palpitations. Lac-d. is useful in diseases with malnutrition and anemia. Feels completely exhaust ed, whether she does anything or not, great fatigue when walking. Sick headaches with profuseflow of urine during pain. Headache ceases at sunset. Sufferings from loss of sleep (Cocc.). Motion sickness. Dropsy from organic heart disease and from chronic liver complaints. Obesity. Osteoporosis. Sensation as if cold air was blowing on her, even while covered up, as if sheets were damp. Most symptoms occur in the morning. Particularly useful for the symptoms caused by milk in some sensitive people, especially the violent headache and constipation. COMMENTS - The first proving was made by a woman in New York whose headache and nau sea with constipation were strongly marked. - A subsequent, more extensive proving was made under S w an by Dr. - Laura Morgan. - Hering noted that with but few exceptions the symptoms have received clinical verification. - Migraines, especially for people allergic to milk. - Hormonal migraines. - Throbbing, blinding headaches with nausea and vomiting. - Burnett maintained that excess of milk in the dietary of children after they have cut their firs t teeth renders them susceptible to colds. - It may be well to recall that milk is one of the articles forbidden to hydrogenoid or chilly patients. ### Head - Sallow complexion with eczema. - Pimples on face and forehead. - Painless swelling of the face. ### Mouth - Offensive breath. - Mouth very dry. - Mouth clammy and frothy during conver sation. - Grinding of teeth during sleep. - Nose - Painful pressure or tightness at root of nose. - Sinusitis. - Colds. - Children suffer from coryza from drinking milk. - Nasal catarrh, worse drinking milk. - Perspiration - Profuse, staining yellow, difficult to wash out. - Sense as if sheets were damp. ### Throat - Sore throat, worse when swallowing. - Sore throat with slight, hacking cough. - Sensation of a large ball rising from stomach to throat, causing distressing sense of suffocation. - Globus hystericus. ### Chest - Soreness of chest with great pressure. - Tuberculous deposit in apices of both lungs. - Pressure around heart with dyspnea, feeling that he is going to die. - Sharp pain in apex of heart, as if a knife was cutting up and down. - Palpitations of heart and flushes of heat. - Kidneys - Constant pain in kidney region. - Boring, sore pain in kidneys. - Frequent and profuse urination with headache or other pains. - Frequent but scanty urination. - Lack of sensation when the bladder is full. - Urination involuntary, while walking in cold air, while riding or when hurrying to catch a train. - Albuminuria. - Urine very pale, can't retain it. - Urine very dark and thick. - Urine comes away drop by drop, or gushes out. - Urine with a sensation of very hot water passing over parts. - Bedwetting at night. - Asthma attacks, so that he could scarcely breathe, accompanied by bloating in epigastric region. - Asthma worse from drinking milk. - Short, dry cough with difficult expectoration of a small lump of mucus, which ameliorates cough. ### Stomach & Abdomen - Violent pain in stomach from fatigue. - Cramps in epigastric region. - Sour eructations. - Nausea and vomiting, with sensation of deathly sickness .Nausea from a recumbe nt position. - Incessant vomiting with no relation to eating. - Vomiting first of undigested food, sour, acid, then of bitter water. - Vomit looks like coffee grounds. - Morning sickness. - Motion sickness. - Temperature - Always feels chilly. - Very sensitive to cold. - Very chilly when con stipation is most persistent. - Hectic fever, malignant typhoid. - Hot fever continues until near morning, wakes in profuse sweat, which stains linen yellow. - Sensation as if the sheets were damp. - Abdomen sore and sensitive to touch, worse pressure. - Heaviness as of a stone in abdomen. - Drawing pain, across lower part of abdomen. - Severe pain across umbilicus, during headache. - Chronic gastroenteritis, with chronic diarrhea and vomiting. - Flatulence. - Loss of appet ite. - Can neither eat nor drink during headache. - Menses, delayed in girls who drink much milk. - Menses delayed, with congestion of blood to head, coldness of hands, nausea and vertigo. - Menses irregular, sometimes very dark and scanty, sometimes colorless water. - Menses suppressed by putting hands in cold water. - Pressing, bearing down pain in ovarian region. - Drawing pain across uterine re gion. - Sensation of weight and dragging in left ovarian region. - Slight yellowish leucorrhea. ### Extremities - Osteoporosis. - Weak bones. - Fingertips icy cold, rest of the hands warm. - Aching, in wrists and ankles. - Cold hands or feet during headache. - Numbness and loss of sensation over outer and anterior surfaces of thighs. - Weakness and aching in ankles, puffiness. - Skin thickened at edges of feet. ### Neck & Back - Constant pain in lumbar region. - Lumbago. - Hardpressivepains, at fourth cervical vert ebra. - Chills creeping along back between scapulae. - Herpetic eruptions on sides of neck, with itching and burning after scratching. - Breasts - Scanty flow of milk, restores the milk. - Decrease in size of breasts during pregnancy. ### Skin - Very sensitive to cold. - Face, neck, arms and body generally flush color of a red rose, with swelling, but no itching or burning. - Symmetrical patches, causing itching and burning after scratching. - Skin thickened at the edges of feet. ### Sleep - Sleepy all day long. - Great restlessness, extreme and protracted suffering from loss of sleep at night. - Worse from loss of sleep. ### Generalities - As though a knife was cutting up and down through the heart. -
