Its field of use is in colds, coryza, cough of any kind, vomiting, bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, \nspitting of blood. Fevers, jaundice, loss of appetite, and constipation. These ailments are what the ancient \nphysicians use it for.\u201d \nIt was proved by two men, twenty -seven and thirty -two years of age; their symptoms were later clinically \nverified. Proving symptoms included catarrh, violent sneezing, watering eyes, profuse coryza, loss of appetite, \nvomiting, liver pains, hoarseness and very painful suffocative cough with blood streake d mucus and high \ntemperature. \nGhose recorded a case of coryza. \u201cMy son had an attack of cold. He had fluent coryza, with constant sneezing; \nthere was hoarseness with swollen nose; there was stoppage of nose at night; there was also thirst; no appetite \nexisted; there were occasional coughing fits, but no expectoration ensued. \n\u201cI prescribed Justicia 1 x every three hours. After administration of the third dose he fell asleep. He came round \nwithin three days. From the second day there was no hoarseness.\u201d \nGhose also recorded another case of co ryza. The son of Babu Bhupati Choudhuri, of Bhowanipore. suffered \nfrom a severe attack of cold. Copious fluent coryza, ac companied by violent coughing, the eyes were \nsomewhat swollen and watered all the time; he was feverish.
