## Keynote Indications
Jalapa, the well -known purgative of old school practice, had a short proving by Jeanes. 
Allen cured a case of “coryza in an infant, violent attacks of crying and intense p ain, quiet during the day, but 
screaming all night.” 
Colic and diarrhea. Severe abdominal pain, “as if the abdomen would be cut to pieces,”  severe griping, 
cutting pains. Pain is better by belchings of frothy matter and flatulence. 
Cutting colic before and during the stool. Stools are watery, sour smelling and bloody. Stools, watery, muddy 
or sour, bloody. Infantile diarrhea with general coldness, blueness of face. Pain in sigmoid flexure.  
General coldness and blueness of the face. Restlessness and anxiety.  Great weakness with fainting fits, 
excessive uneasiness and tossing about of limbs. Symptoms are worse at night. A child may be quite quiet 
all day, but screams and tossed about all night.
