Cushing \nfound that milk aggravated his symptoms during the proving. \n\u201cWorse from milk.\u201d Other prominent symptoms from his proving included a severe sore throat, dry, inflamed \nthroat with large, granulated blood vessels. Edema of throat, can hardly breathe. \nCOMMENTS - During the proving, Cushing noted that he \u201cFelt as though could not move, on moving no pain, \nfelt better by moving.\u201d On this indication with others, he cured a case with Hom. 4x. \nThe patient had headache, sore throat, loss of appetite and when she awoke in the morning felt as if she could \nnot move at all. On receiv ing Hom., there was a speedy restoration of keen appetite, both for food and work \nand loss of headache and sore throat. \nAnother cured case had \u201cNo appetite, dis tress in stomach, restless sleep, very tired in morning.\u201d A case of \nfrequent \u201cbilious spells\u201d was also cured in a man who had Nux-v. and Dios, with only temporary relief. \nL. H. Hallock related a personal experi ence in which, an hour after eating a small amount of lobster salad, \ngeneral pruritus commenced, worse in lower limbs, espe cially the calves. The itching was of a biting, burning \ncharacter, not better by rubbing or scratching, almost unendurable. \nIt lasted two hours in spite of bathing with hot and cold water, fresh and salt. No sooner had the itching abated \nthan his lips, nose, eyes began to swell, until the eyes were closed and lips almost completely in verted. \n \n \nThroat swollen and edematous so that it was almost impossible to breathe, profuse salivation.  \nEight hours after the meal he had the ap pearance of a severe and protracted debauch.
