Everything taken into stomach causes pain. Tongue coated thin white. Nausea. \nCOMMENTS - Anshutz wrote \u201cHedeoma contains three bodies peculiar to the plant, three different oils, also \nformic and acetic acid and likewise ischeptoic acid. There are on record seven cases of poisoning. Two \nprovings have been made by my self. Several of the poisoning \ncases are very meagre and of little value. \n\u201cOne teaspoonful of the oil, three drachms of the essence, seems to be almost a fatal dose in one case only \nwas abortion produced and that from one ounce of the oil, followed by collapse and death.  \n\u201cThe leading symptoms of the cases of poisoning are briefly: Vertigo. Dimness of vision. Dilated pupils. Nausea \nand vomiting. Persistent severe bearing -down pains from the upper part of the sacrum and the region of the \nkidney to the uterus like true laborpaints. Frequent painful,  scanty, burn ing urination. Small, rapid pulse. \nNervous weakness. Cold clammy limbs.\u201d \nDr. Toothaker reported a case in which the bearing -down labor-like pains and the scanty, painful urination \nlasted for many days and were very severe. \nClarke prescribed t his remedy in two cases. In the first, a woman of gouty, rheumatic tendency, who had \ndragging burning pains in the left ureter going to the bladder and was passing quantities of \u201cred sand.\u201d The \npain lasted for ten days. Hedeo. 1c, on discs, was given, one disc every two hours. Complete relief was \nobtained after two doses. \nThe second case concerned a man of 60, very fond of champagne, who was bothered by constant burning \nirritation at the neck of the bladder, which caused frequent, intense desire to urinate and an inability to retain \nhis urine for more than a few minutes. He always had marked relief on urinating. Urine retained in the bladder \nincreased this irritation at the neck of the bladder and also caused an uneasy pain in the right testicle.  \nThese symptoms had been more or less persistent for months and the attacks always lasted days at a time. \nComplete relief was obtained after one or two doses of Hedeo. 1c.","Urinary & Genital":"Leucorrhea with itching and burning.
