It\nis known for causing profound ne rvous, mental and physical\nweakness.  If there is nervous exhaustion, mental and physical\nweakness along with othe r specific ailments, the administration of\nGratiola in such cases will promptly  cure the symptoms.  In Gratiola,\nthere is a type of stinging irritation of the eyes.  The eyesight is hazy\nlike looking through a cobweb.  Ther e is a peculiar t ype of colour\nblindness, in which green appears to  be white. The patient complains\nthat it is as if sand particles are irritating the eye.\n\nMelancholia in women is probably related to Gratiola. Gratiola\npresents a unique paradox that wome n apparently feel weak, but deep\ndown they may experience passionate excitement of sexual organs.\nYoung girls, if so afflicted, tend to be immodest and shameless.  They\nmust be treated to control their passions and desires. Gratiola will\nwork if other associated symptoms are not very complex.\n\nIn responding to heat and cold, the constitution of Gratiola patient is\nlike that of Pulsatilla.  Gratiola works better on left-sided ailments like\nLachesis.  Its sexual excitement resembles that of Taraentula.\nHowever, Taraentula is good for ri ght-sided sympto ms.  Gratiola\nsymptoms are mostly localised, while in Lachesis symptoms shift\nfrom left to right.\n\nGratiola is useful in some kinds of colds.  If nasal secretions enter the\nstomach, it causes severe spasms, in the form of twisting and curling\nof the stomach. Gratiola is useful in common stomach problems\nassociated with the swelling of th e upper lip and this is true about\nPulsatilla as well.\nSometimes Gratiola annuls the effect of Coffea.  Similarly, Coffea\nworks the same way against Gratiola .  The symptoms of both these\nremedies are similar.  Although th e nervous infirmity peculiar to\nGratiola is not as pronounced in Coffea. Yet, it is said that Gratiola\nresembles Coffea.  One thing is clea r that if one cannot sleep in the\nearly part of the night and other sy mptoms of Coffea are not present,\nthen this indicates Gratiola .  In Gratiola, typically, swallowing\nrelieves the throat\u2019s discomfort . But in Gratiola, swallowing\nameliorates the pain.  Therefore, Gratiola patient drinks fluids in sips\nso that the discomfort at the throat may be relieved.\n\nThe Gratiola patient feels dizzy while eating, more so after having\nfinished eating.  Closing the eyes , reading, and getting up suddenly\nalso produces dizziness, showing that the patient is anaemic or has\nlow blood pressure.\n\nAnother type of stomach upset is associated with nausea and\ndistension of the stomach due to gas.  In Gratiola nausea disappears as\nsoon as food is taken. Usually in nausea, one does not feel like eating,\nbut in Gratiola, strangely enough, the treatment for nausea is eating\nfood.  Acidity of the stomach can be relieved by food intake, but\nreturns after a short while.  Acidity of the stomach is not necessarily\ndue to Hydrochloric acid (HCl).  Very often, due to a lack of\nhydrochloric acid, food remains undi gested, producing various other\nacids.  In the case of hyperacidity of the stomach, nausea or belching\ncause a reflux of the acidic contents of the stomach into the distal part\nof the food pipe (oesophagus).  The patient feels burning behind the\nbreast bone (sternum) and feels tightness of the chest, as in angina.\n\nIn Gratiola, there is a feeling of burning all over, but an inflammation\nand a burning sensation of the reproductive organs, male and female\nboth, can provoke unusual and unnatural physical reactions.  In the\nGratiola patient, typically there is palpitation after passing stools.\n\nHomoeopathic physicians must prep are a library of similarly acting\nremedies, store them in their memory and then sub-classify them\naccording to their peculiar, distinctiv e features.  Then alone will they\nbe able to make proper diagnoses.  If they do not do so, they will\nalways remain confused and find di fficulty in treating their patients\nproperly.\n\nPotency: 30 to 200","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
