## Keynote Indications
Formica rufa causes many rheumatic and gouty pains. Pains appear sud denly and dart 
from place to place: left, then right, then left. Pains are worse from motion, better pressure.  
Arthritis with sudden rheumatic or gouty pain s. Chronic gout and stiffness in joints. Acute outbursts of gouty 
poisons, especially when assuming the neuralgic forms. The spinal cord is affected, paralyzes and spasms 
occurring. It affects the liver, kidneys and right side. 
Influence on theformation of polyps. Tuberculosis. Carcinoma, cancer. Apoplectic diseases. Lupus. Chronic 
nephritis. Atrophy of wounds. Takes cold easily. Clammy skin, disagreeable sweat during night, sweat without 
relief. Chorea from checked foot sweat. Complaints from over lifting.

### Vertigo
- Severe vertigo.
- COMMENTS - A plug of cotton wool soaked in a 20 percent solution of formaldehyde and applied for a few 
hours, will produce a necrotic slough, which must be scraped away before the next application, otherwise it 
hardens.
- Formal., in hot water as vapor, is a most valuable therapeutic agent in whooping cou gh, tuberculosis and in 
catarrhal disorders of the upper air-passages.
