## Keynote Indications
In the Medical Press of May 3, 1893, Dr. George Foy gave an account of this medicine.
Gray, in 1817, mentioned it as a remedy for syphilis and for venomous bites.
In gonorrhea, when there are intense pains at each urination, burning pains which oblige the patient to sit down
or to keep quiet, and violent desire to pass water (Cann-s., Canth.). Humid asthma with prostration and
restlessness. Hemorrhages caused by sunstroke or traumatism.
None of the irritant effects common to most of the Euphorbias were produced, but there was a powerful action
on the heart. First, an alarmingly quick pulse, and then a sudden chill.
Cardiac dyspnea, hay fever and bronchitis. Urethritis with intense pain on urinating and much urging. Acrid
leucorrhea, worse least movement. It has been used by the old -school practitioners in asthma, hay asthma
and bronchitis, chiefly in considerable doses.
COMMENTS - In the Universal Homeopathic Annual, Dr. Cartier gave this account: “Eu phorbia pilulifera has
given excellent results in cases of acrid leucorrhea, aggravated by the least motion, especially useful forpale,
delicate and sensitive women” (Facaranda).
