## Keynote Indications
Chromic acid is a power ful antiseptic which has been used for dis infecting purposes to 
arrest fetid discharge and correct fetid odors. Offensive discharge. “Foul smelling, bloody lochia.” 
Inflammation and destruction of epithelium and mucus membranes, a false membrane, gangrene. On the skin 
it has been used to destroy warts. Cutting pains in eyes. Cough, hard, sometimes deep, swal lows sputa. 
Vomits breakfast. Diphtheria. Post -nasal tumors. Epithelioma of the tongue. Symptoms come and go 
suddenly and return periodically.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Worse least draft of air. Worse cold water. Worse at night and early i n morning. Worse 2 a.m. to 
6 a.m. Pain worse on left side. 
Nose - Ulcer and scabs in nose. Offensive smell. Corrosive pain. Ozaena (Aur.).

## Symptoms by System

### Throat
- Diphtheria, sore throat.
- Tough mu cus with inclination to swallow it, worse causing hawking.
- Post -
nasal tumors.
- COMMENTS - Suddenness of many of the symptoms.
- Symptoms appear and disappear suddenly and return 
 
 
periodically.
- Disagreeable pricking and itching here and there with uneasiness in limbs.
- Pains suddenly shifting 
to various parts of trunk, on waking.
- On turning to right side, pain in left side goes off.
- Sensation of a vacuum at heart of emptiness in chest.
- Well-marked rheumatic symptom s.
- Clarke frequently obtained good results in rheumatic cases with both 
preparations.

### Extremities
- Uneasiness in limbs.
- Pain in shoul der blades and back of neck.
- Pain in knees and balls of feet.
- Drawing pain in soles while walking.
