It is a\nfairly broad-spectrum remedy.  It is related to the nerves and paralysis\nrelated to them.  According to most  physicians, there is no curative\ntreatment for the deafness resulting from the paralysis of the\nauditory nerve .  Once the nerves are dead there is no hope of\nreviving them, but recent research has shown that when a nerve has\nbeen damaged, the ends of the ad joining nerves spread out to\ncompensate for the loss.  In particul ar, modern scientific research has\nproved that when the nerves inside  the eye degenerate, new ones start\ndeveloping.  Sometimes when an eye has been lost, nerve fibres\ndevelop from the healthy eye to connect with the dying and dead\nnerve fibres of the affected eye.  More experiments are being done.\nNo doubt, the dead nerves do not vita lise, but other nerves spread out\nto substitute them.  If the nerve endings are not completely dead,\nChenopodium may revive the dying nerve fibres.\n\nMost Chenopodium patients can hear only some sounds.  For\nexample, they may not be able to appreciate the voice of men but can\nappreciate the voices of women and children. Because they cannot\nhear so-called low-pitched (heavy) sounds, they can perceive ones that\nare high-pitched.  Many such patients who had limited hearing got\nsignificantly better with the use of Chenopodium.  Sometimes, the\npatient feels vertigo due to the ear problem.  The hearing decreases\nand there are noises in the ears.  In this situation, Chenopodium will\nrestore the hearing.  Chenopodium w ill restore the functions of the\nauditory as well as vestibular nerves .  If the voice is suddenly lost,\nChenopodium benefits this condition too.\n\nChenopodium is also useful in the treatment of right-sided paralysis\nof the body (hemiplegia).  It is also useful in the treatment of shoulder\npain.  Lycopodium is also useful in the treatment of right shoulder\npain, but in Chenopodium the pain is on both sides.  In Chenopodium,\nas in Opium, there is a tendency of  developing apoplexy that is more\npronounced in the case of Opium, but the Chenopodium apoplexy can\nalso resemble that of Opium.  Su ddenly, the face of such a patient\nbecomes red and congested.  The Chenopodium patient also suffers\n\nfrom sudden vertigo.  The inborn tendency to develop vertigo is also a\nsymptom of Chenopodium.  This  condition is called Meniere\u2019s\ndisease.  In this disease, there is  repeated vertigo associated with\nsevere vomiting. Chenopodium is also effective in treating lethargy,\ninsensitivity, unconsciousness, partia l paralysis of the nerves, and in\nthe enlargement of the tonsils and neck glands.\n\nThe Chenopodium patient suffers from severe pain in the backbone\nthat spreads out over the shoulders and chest.  Urination is very\nfrequent, the urine being yellowish in colour an d frothy.  There is an\nassociated tingling sensation at the urethra. Yellowish material\ndeposits on the walls of the container.  This sign is also present in\nChelidonium.\n\nSome doctors have prescribed Chenopodium for the treatment of\nroundworms and hookworm infestation.  When Chenopodium oil is\ngiven in repeated small doses, after some time the patient becomes\nfree of these worms.  I howev er, have not practised using\nChenopodium for this purpose.\n\nPotency: Chenopodium is usually used in potency 3 but I have\nfound it very useful in potency 30.  For worms,\nChenopodium oil is given 10 drops every two to three\nhours.","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
