In addition, it is\ndeeply related to coughs also.  Its cough originates from the right lung.\nFor the treatment of repeated coughing due to the irritation of the\nthroat that does not respond to any other medication, Chelidonium\nwill be found to be extraordinarily useful.  Once, there was a patient\nwho suffered from a cough for many years.  I prescribed Chelidonium\nto him, combined with Rumex.  By Allah\u2019s grace, he became well\nvery soon.  Rumex too, is very us eful for the treatment of chronic\ncough, especially of the dry nature.\n\nThe Chelidonium cough is typically associated with persistent\nirritation of the throat, burning and unease.  Due to this, the patient\nbecomes restless and gets tired of this condition.  Chelidonium is\nextremely useful and effective in this condition.  It decreases the\nseverity and frequency of the cough, making it mild and harmless.\nThis naturally relieves the irritabi lity and anger of the patient, and\nwith other remedies, the cough w ould gradually be cured, though not\nimmediately.\n\nThe Chelidonium cough is associated  with a small amount of sticky\nphlegm that is difficult to expel.  Even if expectorated, the throat is\nstill not cleared.  Irritation soon resu mes.  In such a situation, Coccus\nshould also be added to Chelidonium.\n\nChelidonium is very effec tive in the treatment of jaundice, as well as\npneumonia and pleurisy, in which there is inflammation of the outer\nlining of the lungs in the lower part (basal pleurisy).\n\nThe urine of a Chelidonium patient is yellow with a pungent smell.\nWhen constipated, the stools are in the form  of small rounded balls,\nlike goat\u2019s droppings.  If diarrhoea sets in, the colour of the faeces is\nbrownish clay.  Constipation and dia rrhoea alternate with each other.\nThe abdominal pain  radiates to the back.  After taking food, the\nsymptoms of the stomach ameliorate.  The patient likes hot food and\nhot fluids, especially hot milk.\n\nChelidonium is also useful in the treatment of gall bladder stones .\nThis pain radiates towards the back  while the pain in a patient of\n\nBerberis Vulgaris radiates in all directions. Chelidonium resembles\nBryonia as well.  Its symptoms ar e generally on the right side and\nworsen on movement, but the differenc e is that the patient likes to\nsleep on the side of the symptoms, while in Chelidonium, if the patient\nsleeps on the affected side his symp toms get worse.  In Chelidonium,\nheat intensifies headache.  In hot countries, this may be used for the\ntreatment of headache due to heat exposure.\n\nIn Chelidonium, the head ache is associated with drowsiness and\nvertigo.  The head feels heavy and numb.  There is a tendency of\nfalling forward.  The headache radiates up to the back of the right ear\ntowards the shoulder.  There is pa in over the right shoulder and the\nright side of the chest.  The cough is associated with small amounts of\nphlegm.  The palms and wrists hurt, while the tips of the fingers are\nice-cold.\n\nSclera of the eye (i.e. the white of  the eye) becomes yellowish.  On\nlooking up, the eyes hurt and the tears flow constantly.  The neuralgic\npains become localised above the right eye .  The complexion of the\npatient is yellowish which is much more evident on the cheeks and\nover the nose.  The skin is dry and yellowish.  The tongue is also\nyellowish and flabby.  Due to the associated liver disorder, there is a\ntendency to vomit.  The kidneys feel irritated and inflamed and there\nis debris in the urine.  When touched, the body hurts.  There is pain at\nthe hips and the thighs.
