Its\nrange of action is very wi de and it is useful in  the treatment of deep-\nseated illnesses.\n\nThe patient of Carboneum Sulph, lik e that of Carbo Veg, enjoys open\nfresh air.  Though his body may be cold, he would still like to keep the\nwindows open for the want of ox ygen. Carboneum Sulph contains\nSulphur, which has a completely oppos ite effect.  Its patient likes to\nkeep the windows open, but cannot tolera te drafts of air.  As in many\nother Homoeopathic remedies, the pa tient feels heaviness on the chest\nwhile going up the stairs and feels very weak.  The discomfort of the\nchest behind the sternum may very well be due to angina, therefore it\nshould not be neglected; instead it should be clinically evaluated and\ninvestigated.  The pressure of the chest is not always necessarily due\nto a heart problem.  It may well be  due to disorders of the nervous\nsystem, lungs or stomach.  Thus, th e pressure of th e chest is not a\ndiagnostic sign in itself.\n\nThe symptoms of a Carboneum Sulph patient aggravate on taking a\nbath that is due to the element of Sulphur in it in which there is a\ndislike for taking a bath.  It shoul d however be remembered, that a\npatient of pure Sulphur is simply scared of bathing, but his symptoms\nare not aggravated on taking a ba th, while the symptoms of a\nCarboneum Sulph patient actually aggravate on taking a bath.\n\nSome Homoeopathic physicians have opined that Carboneum Sulph is\nthe best treatment fo r a severe type of Lupus of the face, it can, in\nfact, cure the condition.  I am of the opinion that it should be further\ntested.  I have myself done a lot of study on this matter, but have not\nfound any specific correlation of Carboneum Sulph to Lupus to\ndistinguish this from other remedies.\n\nCarboneum Sulph has been found to prevent the spread of cancer\nalso.  Carbon and Sulphur togeth er have a profound effect on the\nhuman body.  The remedy, which c ould cure a serious illness like\nLupus, must obviously be strong a nd profoundly effective.  Every\nkind of cancer needs to be treate d by one particular medicine.\nHowever, some medicines are such that they can stop the spread of all\ncancers for a year or tw o.  In that period, an appropriate remedy may\nbe found.  Carboneum Sulph, Arseni c Iodide and Graphite are the\nthree top remedies of this nature.  For cancer of the skin, Pyrogenium\nand Psorinum are also useful.  Thei r patients have an individual and\nspecific constitution of their own.  When the know-how about a\npatient is limited, the treatment shoul d be started with Arsenic Iodide,\nwhich is also very useful in the treatment of cancer of intestines.\n\nCarboneum Sulph is also related to joint pains, especially when they\nare chronic in nature. Carboneum Sulph will gradually offer cure.  In\nCarboneum Sulph, there are cramps in the arms and the legs , along\nwith repeated episodes of l ong-lasting, undulating pain.  The arms\nand hands become numb and the nerves become inflamed.\n\nThe elements of Carbon and Sulphur in the Carboneum Sulph have\ncompletely opposite symptoms.  Sulphur  is hot, while carbon is of a\ncold nature.  In Carbon, the pati ent feels cold and is cold, though\ninternally he may have a burning sensation in some places.  In Sulphur\nthere is a feeling of constant heat, which becomes part of one\u2019s life.\nThe hands, feet and scalp burn, as  in Pulsatilla.  However, in\nPulsatilla, there is no thirst whil e a patient of Sulphur feels very\nthirsty.\n\nA patient of Carboneum Sulph cannot tolerate cold.  He falls ill as\nsoon as his feet become cold.  The feet of a Carboneum Sulph type of\npatient must always be kept warm.\n\nSome of the symptoms of Carboneum Sulph resemble those of Arnica.\nIn Arnica, the patient feels badly be aten all over, irrespective of being\nphysically injured or not.  The Ca rboneum Sulph pain is also of\nsimilar nature.  Carboneum Sulph is very important in the treatment of\npsychological symptoms.  Such a patient is aggressive, intolerant, has\nintense anger, is unable to dis tinguish between ri ght and wrong, and\nhas a tendency towards committing suicide.  The scalp is dry, with\ndandruff and the hair tends to fall . Carboneum Sulph is also very\n\nuseful in the treatment of diseases of the eyelids , especially when the\npatient is of the appropriate constitution.\n\nIn Carboneum Sulph, the headache is  mostly on the left side, but may\nalso be on the right.  Commonly, it is only one-sided.\n\nWeak eyesight and inability to distinguish between colours is also a\nsymptom of Carboneum Sulph.  In a patient of Carboneum Sulph, the\ndischarge from the ears is foul smelling and mixed with blood.  The\nhearing decreases, along with ringing in the ears (tinnitus).  Due to\nthe involvement of ears, the person feels dizzy.  The tongue becomes\ninsensitive.  Along with itching, small ulcers  form which then\nspread.  Pimples appear on the face.   A special feature of Carboneum\nSulph is the insensitivity of the lining of the skin and the inner linings\n(mucus membranes).  The skin also becomes insensitive.  The\nnumbness of the inside of the mout h and especially of the tongue is\nvery pronounced.  The nerve fibr es under the skin  and the mucus\nmembranes become afflicted, causing insensitivity of the surfaces.\nThe teeth become very sensitive to cold once their nerve endings\nbecome exposed.\n\nOn exposure to cold air, the sympto ms pertaining to the teeth and the\nface become aggravated, and there is increased sensitivity, not only\nat the nerve endings of the teet h, but on the entire face.  The\ngeneralised, firm enlargement of the glands  also is found in\nCarboneum Sulph.\n\nCarboneum Sulph is useful in the treatment of many sexual\nweaknesses of men  as well as women.  The ovaries shrink in size,\nwhich in fact is a precursor of can cer.
