## Keynote Indications
This preparation of Cal carea silicata has been used by Ussher in the lx and 6x potencies 
in cases of atrophy of children. He found it succeeded where Sil. failed in these cases and in corneal disorders. 
It causes absorption of corneal exudations. Indicated by ulcers with punched-out edges. 
Kent said it cured cataracts, polyps, goiter, epithelioma and lupus. Diabetes me llitus. Hydrocele. Useful in 
restraining malignant ulceration in the breasts. 
Calc-sil. is a deep, long acting medicine for complaints which come on slowly and reach their final development 
after long periods. Weak, emaciated, cold and chilly, worse from b eing overheated, generally sensitive. 
Atrophy of children. 
Aversion to the open air. Lack of vital heat.  Very sensitive to the cold. Extreme sensitiveness to drafts. 
Catching colds constantly. Thick greenish-yellow expectoration. Abscesses, catarrhal discharges, ulcers, are 
marked with thick, greenish-yellow pus. MIND - Absent-minded. Inability to concentrate. Confusion of mind in 
the morning. Irritable, irresolute. Lacks self-confidence. Discontent and despair. Weary. Fearful. Anxiety about 
health. Fear of brain lesion. Discouraged about her disease, thinks it an incurable disease. Excitable and easily 
 
 
angered, worse after anger. Consolation irritates. 
She sits long in one place and looks into space and does not answer when spoken to. Passive delirium, t alks 
and acts like one insane. Talks to people who have long been dead. Mutters foolish things.

Worse from change of weather. Worse from warm to cold. Worse cold air. Worse becoming cold. 
Worse after becoming cold, and cold, wet weather. Great aggravation from being overheated. Worse after sex. 
Worse exertion. Worse motion.

## Symptoms by System

### Vertigo
- Vertigo, in morning, on rising, after rising, in evening, while lying, looking upwards, f rom mental 
exertion.
- Vertigo with a tendency to fall backward during headache.
- COMMENTS - The silicate of lime is a very deep -acting remedy.
- It acts profoundly upon the skin, mucus 
membranes, bones and glands.
- Marked emaciation, especially in children who have inherited tuberculosis.
- Great weakness, especially in the morning on waking, after least exertion, from mental exertion, or walking in 
open air.
- Great nervous weakness.
- Weakness, night sweats and seminal emission.
- The least exertion 
prostrates and inc reases many symptoms.
- Stiffness in body, back and limbs when cold, after exertion and 
after sweating.
- Wet weather brings out all his sufferings.
- Hemorrhage from throat, nose, larynx and chest.
- Swelling from dropsy and inflamma tion, swelling of affected 
parts, of glands with hardness.
- Mucus secretions increased and greenish-yellow.

### Head
- Coldness of the head, especially of occiput and vertex.
- Co ngestion of the head at night.
- Constriction 
of the forehead.
- Eruptions on the scalp, crusts, eczema, pustules.
- Perspiration of the whole scalp.
- Kidneys - Sudden ineffectual urging.
- Frequent urination during the night.

### Face
- Very pale, an earthy color.
- Lips bluish, dry and cracked.
- Red face during headache, circumscribed red 
cheeks.
- Eruptions of the face, acne, boils, comedones, eczema, herpes, pimples.

### Mouth
- Mouth covered with aphthae.
- Very dry, but at times copious mucus.
- Offensive, even putrid odor from 
the mouth.
- Bad taste, alkaline, bitter in the morning, metallic, putrid, sour.
- White coated tongue.
- Tongue is very 
sore.
- Difficult speech.
- Swollen gums and tongue.
- Bleeding gums.
- Nose - Head colds, catarrh of nose and posterior sinus, discharge thick, yellow, hard crusts.
- Extreme dryness 
inside, of nose.
- Nosebleed, bright red blood, on blowing nose.

### Throat
- Inflammation of the throat, pharynx and tonsils with dryness and redness.
- Constant effort to clear the 
throat.
- Lump in the throat.
- Splinter-like pain on swallowing.

### Chest
- Pain in chest walls.
- Constriction of chest.
- Eruption on chest.
- Pain in chest during cough, on inspiration, 
deep breathing.

the fits lighter and farther apart.

### Stomach & Abdomen

### Extremities
- The muscles, tendons and joints are weak and easily strained.
- Stiffness of all the limbs, joints.

### Neck & Back
