In the development\nof bones, sclera and some other pa rts of the body Calcaria Carb is\nneeded.  In milk, a wholesome food , Calcium plays a very important\nrole.  The Imbalance of Calcium in the body results in various\ndiseases, especially those of the bone s.  Calcaria Carb has its role on\nthe glands, skin and the bones. The Calcarea Carbonica patient is very\nsensitive to cold.  The feet sometim es feel very cold and sometimes\nhot.  The chest feels tied up.  The cough is dry at  night but usually\nphlegmatic during the day .  The sputum is yellowish, smelly and\ndifficult to expel. In children, the cough that develops during teething\nand does not subside easily often responds to Calcarea Carb.  The\npatients of Calcarea Carbonica constitution have listless faces.  The\nskin is oily and yellowish.  Sometimes they feel exhausted while\ntalking and also suffer from lack of blood.  Mental exercise further\nweakens them.  They sweat profusely and may experience difficulty in\nbreathing.  They dislike cold and hu midity.  They hate the fresh air\nand chill.  On being wet, like Rhus Tox, their ailments appear\nsuddenly.\n\nCalcarea Carb has a significant effect on anaemia.  This anaemia is\ndue to lack of the intrinsic factor from the lining of the stomach, as a\nresult of which vitamin B12 cannot be absorbed.  Vitamin B12 alone\ncannot cure this kind of anaemia, although it n eeds to be constantly\nadministered to prevent against the associated bad effects.  Vitamin\nB12 cannot be absorbed in the stomach so it needs to be given by\ninjection for life.  In such patients, if Calcarea Carb is given in\nhomoeopathic potency, this obviates the necessity for supplementation\nwith vitamin B12, and the body itself starts making blood.\n\nIn Calcarea Carb, the muscles feel flaccid .  The disarrayed body\nassociated with flail muscles and obesity will benefit from Calcarea\nCarb if given over a period of time.  Calcium deficiency in the body\ncan be treated by homoeopathic pote ncies of Calcarea Carb.  In\nCalcarea Carb patients, sometimes on standing up suddenly, their leg\nmuscles cannot bear the weight of the body and they fall down.  In the\ncase of low blood pressure also, it is  difficult for a person to stand up\nsuddenly. Calcarea Carb is useful for the treatment of weak muscles\n\nCalcarea Carb 170\ndue to lack of calcium.  The prof oundly active constitutional remedies\nwhich are necessary for the physica l development of human beings,\nwhen given with suitable intervals on a long term basis, will\neffectively treat these ailments resul ting in the cure of the patient as a\nwhole.  Undoubtedly it is time-consuming.\n\nIt must be remembered that if Sulphur needs to be given after Calcarea\nCarb, Lycopodium should be institu ted first, and then Sulphur.\nHidden diseases made manifest by  the use of Sulphur, for example\npiles, often respond to Nux Vomica.  But Calcarea Carb is also useful\nin the treatment of piles.  There are other homoeopathic remedies\nresembling Calcarea Carb, such as  Aesculus for the treatment of\nbleeding piles and the infection thereof.\n\nCalcarea Carbonica is very  valuable to prevent the tendency of\ndeveloping cancer  if it matches the constitution of the patient,\notherwise it will not be of use.  In  some conditions, an incision needs\nto be made, but Calcarea Carb obvia tes such a need. Calcarea Carb is\na very effective treatment of deep-seated abscesses, even better than\nSilicea.  The abscess either dissipates or produces only a small amount\nof pus.  The abscess disappears without much discomfort and\nthrobbing.  It will be of timely use for such a condition.\n\nThe patient of Calcarea Carb can be  easily recognized.  He is rather\nobese and of yellowish complexion.  The head is relatively big and\nthere is a tendency to sweat a lot.  The body is sometimes cold and\nsometimes hot.  If all the systems of the body are slow, it becomes the\ngeneral description of a Calcarea Carb patient.  However, each and\nevery symptom does not have to be present to make the diagnosis.\nNor is there one unique symptom of Calcarea Carb.  Some children\nhave a large head from birth; th is does not necessarily make them\nCalcarea Carb patients, although some may be. Sometimes the\nsymptoms of Calcarea Carb develop over the passage of time.\n\nThe Calcarea Carb patient has his nose stuffed with dried mucus and\nmay have difficulty in breathing th rough the nose.  With the use of\nCalcarea Carb, this material become s easily expelled without the need\nof any operation.  Due to the im balance of Calcium, sometimes bones\ndevelop spurs at their ends  and bony prominences of Calcium\ndevelop at the knee joints, which are very painful. Calcarea Carb can\ncure this problem. Calcarea Carb is the right treatment for a child who,\n\nCalcarea Carb 171\ndue to the weakness of the muscles, has delayed walking.  If there is\ndelay in speaking, then Baryta Carb is the best remedy.  Natrum Mur\nwill be useful when delays in both walking and speaking are present in\na child.\n\nWhen there is a sodium imbalance in the body, it can adversely affect\nthe mental faculties.  The legs become weak and the patient becomes\nrather wasted.  The special feature of Na trum Mur is the wasting of\nthe legs as well as the upper part of the body.  The tongue also is\naffected.  Consequently the child starts walking and talking rather late.\nIn Calcarea Carb, the tongue is not affected and the child learns to talk\nnormally.  However, he is late  in learning to walk.  Being short-\nstatured is also a symptom of Calcarea Carb.  Physical weakness and\nmental deficiency are symptoms of Baryta Carb. Calcarea Carb\ngradually produces clear improvement of unsightly bending of the\nbones if the patient is that of Calcarea Carb constitution.\n\nThe patient feels cold inside but sometimes his hands and feet may\nfeel burning.  The symptoms aggrav ate before the onset of a storm\nsuch as a dust-storm.  An asthma patient will start exhibiting signs of\nallergy to the dust many hours before the storm comes. Calcarea Carb\nis one of the remedies indicated for such patients.  The patient who\ngets mentally fatigued, and various  parts of his body shows signs of\nweakness will respond to Calcaria  Carb.  Calcarea Carb gives him\nrelief and his restlessne ss does not last long.  When extremely\nexcited, a Calcarea Carb patient starts visualising pointed objects, and\nthe pictures and bodies will appear to be dancing.  Similarly, he\nvisualises inanimate objects, nails, wires, piercing and cutting\ninstruments. Calcarea Carb is a su re shot remedy, with rare exception,\nwhenever these symptoms are present in children.\n\nCalcarea Carb is also indicated wh ena person feels ge nerally tired, is\nchilly and experiences the burning of hands an d feet.  The Calcarea\npatient afflicted mentally keeps on pinching with his hands and has\nhallucinations about various faces be fore going to sleep but has no\nfear of death.  The skin peels off at the nails  causing great\ndiscomfort.  This symptom is also present in Petroleum.  The skin\nbecomes dry as in dry eczema and recedes from the nails.\n\nIn general, grief and dejection  are more amenable to treatment with\nSodium compounds.  These include Natrum Mur, Aurum Mur, and\n\nCalcarea Carb 172\nGratiola.   Ambra Gresea and Arnica may be useful in the treatment of\na patient who is very sad and become s indifferent towards his life.  A\npeculiar sign of Calcarea Carb, which does not exist in any other\nremedy, is depression.  For example, a little girl who should normally\nbe playing around becomes sad and indifferent to everything.  The\ndepression developing in the girls before puberty, needs to be attended\npromptly or the patient may commit suicide .  The patient is not\naggressive nor is there any evident cause of her sadness.  The patient\ncannot seriously think much.  Rou tine normal worries can make the\npatient feel mentally as well as physi cally fatigued.  Calcarea Carb in\nhomoeopathic potency, given along with allopathic Calcium tablets, is\nvery good for the treatment of this kind of fatigue.\n\nThe Calcarea Carb patient experiences scary dreams and is scared of\nghosts in the dark.  In the dream he  often finds himself hurt in an\naccident or due to fire.  Any form  of headache may be present in a\nCalcarea Carb patient.  For distinction, its headache becomes worse\nwith light and is worse during the day than at night.  A Graphites\nheadache also aggravates with light  because Calcarea Carb as well\nas Graphites both contain an elemen t of carbon.  It is also found in\nCarbo Veg.  Cold packs or cold sponging relieves the headache.\n\nWhen the head of a child starts growing bigger , the reaction of the\npupils becomes sluggish, and the ch ild screams at night; generally\nsurgical treatment is required.  Yet the chances of cure are rare.  The\nchild becomes semi-insane.  Timely  use of Calcarea Carb, and more\nso of Silicea, will be needed.  With these, the excessive fluid from the\nbrain discharges by way of the eyes or sometimes the ears.  Excessive\nleakage of water from the eye or the ear on one side will make the\npillow wet and the head on that side will start getting smaller in size.\nAfter a few days similar effects will  occur on the other side.  In this\ncondition, called Hydrocephalus, I ha ve often treated many children\nwith Silicea and Calcarea Carb.  Wh en the disease is far advanced\nCalcarea Carb in high potency may be useful but not necessarily.\n\nA white material may form on the cornea of the eye  which then\ngradually starts to flow.  If the in fection is old, the discharge becomes\nyellowish.  In this condition, Cal carea Carb can also be used in\naddition to other appropriate remedies. If the discharge from the ear is\nyellow, Calcarea Carb is more likel y to be the remedy.  The weakness\nof the eardrums or slowly progressive deafness of the ears, need to be\n\nCalcarea Carb 173\ntreated with Calcarea Carb.  Some  other remedies like Chenopodium\nmay also benefit.  Calcarea Carb is of benefit for the weakness of the\neyes due to  their being tired and the increased pressure  in them.\nHowever, Onosmodium is more effective than Calcarea Carb in tired\neyes.  Along with the tiredness of th e eyes there is constant headache\nwhich is not very severe.  A comb ination of Onosmodium along with\nGelsemium 200 will be extraordinarily more effective.  Sometimes the\nchange of weather brings in the sadness  and lethargy. Due to some\nchange in the atmosphere, the body temporarily feels weak.  Calcarea\nCarb, being of long acting type, is useful in the treatment of prolonged\nillnesses.  In these illnesses the recovery is slow and the medicine has\nto be administered at intervals over a long period.\n\nCalcarea Carb patients have an intense desire to eat eggs .  In\naddition, the child would also eat certain indigestible things like clay\nand paper .  Many of these children ha ppen to suffer from chronic\nindigestion.  The patient feels heavin ess on the top of the head.  With\nthe headache, the hands and feet become cold.  Mental work\naggravates the headache.  There is  itching on the scalp, and the eyes\nare very sensitive to light.\n\nCalcarea Carb is also us eful in the treatment of chronic constipation.\nSilicea and Veratrum Album are also  good remedies for constipation.\nGenerally, Veratrum Album is used for the treatment of severe\ndiarrhoea.  In fact, it is very  useful in the treatment of the obstinate\ntype of constipation, yet most homoe opaths do not use it for the this.\nSilicea can relieve the chronic constipation of children.  If ineffective,\nVeratrum Album must be used.  If other signs and symptoms of\nCalcarea Carb are present, certainly Calcarea Carb would be the most\noptimal treatment.  Within a few days the abdomen becomes soft and\nthe constipation is gradually relieved.  The effect of the medicine is\nnot immediate.\n\nCalcarea Carb is also used for the treatment of deep-seated diseases of\nmen as well as women.  It prevents the tendency towards prolapse of\nthe uterus .  It corrects the menstrual dysfunctions  and excessive\nbleeding (menorrhagia).  It not onl y controls the bleeding but also\ncures the enlarged glands.  In ca se one cannot reach one particular\ndiagnosis, the following three thi ngs should be used to prevent\nexcessive bleeding during the mens trual period:  Calcarea Carb,\nMurex, and Sabina in potency 30.  These should be continued for a\n\nCalcarea Carb 174\nfew months.  In the beginning thre e times a day and then once a day,\nafter it has started showing beneficial effects.\n\nCalcarea Carb is an effective remedy for the treatment of fibroids in\nthe uterus . Women of Calcarea constitution suffer constantly from\nthick leucorrhoea.  Calcarea Carb will be very valuable for the\ntreatment of such women who also have tendency to  abort\nrepeatedly.  I had prescribed this remedy to one such lady who\nresponded very well.  In fact, she had already conceived before the\nnext menstrual cycle and did not mi scarry, though in the past she had\nlost many pregnancies.  For any a ppropriate treatment, it is very\nimportant to exactly diagnose the cause of abortion.  Ferrum Phos,\nCalcarea Phos, and Kali Phos ar e well known for the treatment of\ngeneralized weakness and lack of blood (anaemia) .  They work very\nwell during pregnancy and prevent a bortion.  The other useful remedy\nfor the treatment of abortion is Ca ulophyllum.  If the patient has the\nconstitution of Calcarea Carb, then only Calcarea Carb should be\nadministered without any hesitation and without the possible need of\nany other homoeopathic remedy.\n\nBecause Calcarea Carb has to be co ntinued over a long period of time\nso it should be repeated at interval s instead of continuously.  It should\nbe continued for six months after the patient has apparently been\ncured.\n\nA cough which lingers on  and is associated with blood in the\nsputum is also the sign of Calcarea Carb.  As in Kali Carb, the feet\nbecome cold.  If the generalised weakness advances too far, such a\npatient will not be able to sit for long periods of time and tends to slip\noff the chair, and when a patient is in a moribund state and his head\nconstantly sags down from the pillow,  the proper remedy is Muriatic\nAcid which will work immediately.  If it happens frequently, then\nCalcarea Carb is the better remedy.  In Calcarea Carb the lower back\nhurts.  The back also feels weak and it is difficult to stand up after\nsitting for some time.\n\nAdjuvants:  Sulphur to be us ed before Calcarea Carb and\nfollowed by Lycopodium.\nBelladonna, Rhus Tox and Silicea\n\nCalcarea Carb 175\nAntidotes:      Camphor, Ipecac, Nux Vomica, Nitric Acid\nPotency:     30 to CM.","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
