Routine things are forgotten\nbecause a person usually remains lost in his own thoughts and cannot\nremember if he has done what he had to.  It is correct to think that a\nCaladium patient is under great mental pressure.  His mind is occupied\nby two kinds of activities.  One is the routine activity and the other is\nbeing mentally preoccupied.  This is the reason why a Caladium\npatient is absent-minded, like the philosophers who also tend to forget\nthings.  Such patients get mentally fatigued and cannot perform any\nliterary work.\n\nCaladium is also the treatment for sexual weakness, secondary to\ntobacco addiction .  In this respect, it is similar to Picric Acid and\nSelenium.  The Caladium patient is in a state of constant fear; fear of\ndarkness, fear of future, so much so  that he becomes even scared of\nhis own shadow.\n\nThe Caladium patient suffers from vertigo that worsens on closing the\neyes.  In contrast, the vertigo ge ts in Conicum worse on opening the\neyes.  The patient feels dizzy ev en on lying down and moving the\neyes.  In this kind of vertigo, C onium alone is not effective, but\nbecomes a powerful treatment when given with Cocculus.  In both\nCaladium and Conium, movement intensifies the symptoms.\n\nCaladium symptoms intensify with heat.  Hot weather or a heated\nroom aggravate the symptoms, while cooling relieves them.  Although\nthe stomach symptoms aggravate by taking cold things, it is the\nopposite of Phosphorus.  In Phosphorus , the stomach feels relief by\ntaking cold drinks.  A Caladium patie nt\u2019s sleep is disturbed even with\nthe slightest noise.  Once awakened it is extremely difficult for him to\ngo back to sleep.\n\nIn Caladium, the skin feels a tingling  sensation, as if some insect is\ncreeping on it.  The sweat has a sweet smell that attracts flies.  The\nskin is very itchy for no specific re ason.  When the creeping sensation\nintensifies, the entire body starts it ching all the time.  There is no rash\nor eczema.
