The smell is unusually foul and is so strong that it remains in\nthe clothes even after washing. If in such a house the clothes are not\nwashed regularly, the whole house will smell of this strong odour.  If\nthe Benzoic Acid child wets his bed, the repugnance is doubled.  The\nstained clothes do not get clean even on washing.  The urine is deep\nand dark in colour.  If such patients have excess uric acid in the\nblood, they will benefit from Benzoic Acid.  Uric acid causes pain in\nthe kidneys and also decreases th eir functional capability.  Usually,\nthe urination is normal.  If the urine becomes sparse, it will cause pain\nin the joints.\n\nThe Benzoic Acid patient omits words while writing .  Occasionally,\nthis kind of omission can be due to  mental confusion.  Some people\u2019s\nminds work much faster than thei r hands; the hands cannot keep up\nwith the mind.  This symptom may be present in other homoeopathic\nmedicines, so it should not be related to any particular one.  Whenever\nthere is omission or substitution of words during writing, it indicates\nthat the person is looking deeply into the meanings rather than the\nwording of his idea and it becomes difficult to balance both at the\nsame time.  However, one should not simply label one whose thinking\nis much faster than his writing as a patient of Benzoic Acid.  If there is\nmental confusion and the urinary sy mptoms of Benzoic Acid as well,\nthen certainly the person will respond to Benzoic Acid.\n\nIn Benzoic Acid, there is vertigo and fear of falling on one side.  The\nheadache becomes worse with a draft of  cold air, exposure to cold, or\non exposing the head.  There is sense of warmth in the temple areas,\nleading to a pitting type of swe lling around the ears.  Along with the\nheadache, there is tendency of nausea and vomiting, cold sweats on\nthe head and chilling of the hands.  There is irritation and pain at the\nnose, with a decreased sense of smell.  The eyes burn and feel warm.\nThe eye symptoms become worse in the open air and the tube light.\nThe headache starts at the nape of the neck.\n\nBenzoic Acid 128\nIn Benzoic Acid, the red spots appear on the face indicating the state\nof being unhealthy.  This commonly happens in women.  One side of\nthe face feels warm and burning.  Sometimes, small blisters develop\non the face.  The facial symptoms are relieved in a warm climate and\nby applying local pressure.\n\nIn Benzoic Acid, the person sweats while eating food.   The stomach\nfeels tight and under pressure.  Over  the liver area, the person feels a\npiercing sensation and pain.  The stools are frothy, offensive and thin\nin consistency.  The patient passes a lot of gas.\n\nIn Benzoic Acid, the voice is hoarse in the morning.  The sputum is\ngreenish.  The cough becomes worse at night.  The pains become\nintensified during sleep.  At about midnight, severe palpitation and the\nsensation of heat wakes the patient up.\n\nIn most books, it is written regardin g Benzoic Acid that the attack of\ngout originates from the stomach.  Commonly, stomachache is due to\nan ulcer or indigestion, but it could also be due to the gout.  I do not\nknow exactly how the gout affects the stomach.  Possibly, the foul\nacidic contents of the stomach also contain uric acids, which cause the\nsymptoms of gout.  I have no firm knowledge about the production of\nBenzoic Acid in the stomach.  It is likely that when the Benzoic Acid\ncauses inflammation of the linings of the joints (synovial lining), it\nmay very well affect the muscles by way of blood and start the\nsymptoms of gout.  It may be so or not, but most homoeopaths\ndescribe it as a symptom of Benzoic Acid.\n\nExcess of Benzoic Acid can cause swelling and pain at the joints of\nthe wrist, knees, especi ally the big toes, etc .  Similarly, the feeling\nof pressure and chills in the backbone along with the swelling of the\ntongue are also the symptoms of Benz oic Acid.  These also exist in\nPicric Acid as well as Mercury.\n\nPotency: 30 to 200","modalities":"","symptoms_by_system":[],"schema_version":"1.0","api_provider":"Allahshafi"}
