## Keynote Indications
Pain in the right jaw and oppression in left hypochondrium, producing dyspnea and a
necessity to assume an erect position.
COMMENTS - J. Meredith notedhisexperience
with this shrub. He showed symptoms includ ing congestion of the forepart of head. Weak vision. Hectic flush
after tea. Right molar felt too long, worse by pressure intermittent, right jaw (later both jaws) stiff and painful at
joint. Sciatica left side. Appetite increased, more energy for mental work. Improved sleep.
He was also relieved of a distressing symptom, that has troubled him for many months, and for which the
ordinary Bapt. tincture in any preparation had failed to re lieve. He described it as “areally distressing left
hypochondrium oppression, fullness and actual dyspnea, impelling me to assume an erect position."
This oppression would continue half the night. The distress was located either in the spleen or splenic curve
of the colon. It was uninfluenced by eating. Bapt -c. seemed to relieve the symptom very rapidly, causing
something to move to the left and downwards, after which he went to sleep.
A case simulating typhoid was rapidly relieved by the remedy, showing its relation to Bapt. tinct.
