As this preparation has been experimented with \nseparately, its symptoms are give n apart from the other nosodes of tuberculosis. Useful as an intercurrent \nremedy. \nBacillinum has been used for the treatment of tuberculosis, generally causing the sputum to decrease and less \nbecome less purulent. Tubercular meningitis. It has a disposition to catch colds and sore throats.  \nRespiratory and lung weakness. Chronic reoccurring sore throats and coughs.  Glands of the neck are \nenlarged and tender. Night-sweats. \nBacillinum is indicated for the weak lungs of elderly people and for children with chro nic catarrhal conditions \nand attacks of suffocation at night with difficult cough. Suffocative catarrh. The patient expectorates very \nlittle. Chronic catarrhal conditions of the lungs when bronchial mucus and dyspnea are present. Tubercular \nmeningitis. Ringworm. \nDr. Burnett has shown that ringworm of the scalp and pityriasis versicolor on the body are indications of \n \n \ntubercular diathesis and they respond to this remedy. He cured a case of insanity and ringworm.  \nTuberculosis patients are better in dry sunny climates in mountains areas and in the pine forests. Sunlight \nhelps to prevent tuberculosis, also there has been many cures of tuberculosis via sunbathing and the milk diet, \nwhich these patients crave. \nDr. Cartier has found it particularly useful in cases where there was excessive muco purulent bronchial \nsecretion threatening to occlude the lungs. Tends to do better in chronic cases of tuberculosis, as \ncompared to acute cases. \nThere are leading indications for it when present in combination with other disorders. An inter -current course \nof Bacillinum will often make  a wonderful change in patients who have a personal or family history of chest \ndisorders. Bacillinum is an acute miasm remedy for Phosphorus and Calcarea constitutions in particular. \nGrimmer used it for cases stemming from a tubercular inheritance with ex treme soreness of affected parts, \npatients of rheumatic tendencies with syphilitic taints in the bloodstream, general muscular soreness. \nDr. Young recorded the cure of several cases of cretinism. A case of insanity with pityriasis yielded rapidly to \nthe remedy. Pityriasis has been cured by it when all attempts to kill the body lice by chemicals were useless. \nClarke has found an eczematous condition of the margins of the eyelids a strong indication for it. \n \n \nBacillinum is made from tuberculosis bacilli, and Tuberculinum is from bovine tuberculosis. Tuberculinum is a \ndeeper and more chronic remedy. Bacillinum tends to be more for acutes, but there's a lot of overlap. If a \nBacillinum case keeps relapsing, follow with Tuberculinum. Miasmatic remedy, history of tuberculosis in family. \nGood for children or adults with a tendency to get colds and sore throats frequently, par ticularly if they react \nwell to acute remedies, but keep coming back. For children who get a cold at every change in the weather. \nOften swollen glands in the throat. Weight on the chest (Phos.). Mucus in the lungs, bronchitis. Good for the \nelderly with a tendency to colds and bronchitis. Lingering colds. The majority of the symptoms are gone, but a \nlingering cough or sore throat.
