## Keynote Indications
The symptoms of Ars-met. are very like those of Ars., but not entirely. The following are the 
most peculiar: symptoms recur every 14 days, coryza every 21 days. Pains extend from one part to another 
or leave one part and appear in another. Attacks come suddenly and go slowly or vice versa. 
General weakness and debility. Thinking of symptoms aggravates. Many symptoms appear on right side. 
Swollen feeling of parts. Enlarged or swollen feeling of brain, head, eyelids, hands and fingers.  
Syphilis wakes up after being many years dormant. Itching in many parts, skin peels off in small scales. Cutting, 
burning, stinging pains.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better darkness. Better pinching, sitting erect. Washing helps the itching - of anus. Cold bathing 
helps the itching of face. Worse stooping. Worse light. Worse on waking in morning. Worse lying on left side 
(heart). Worse thinking of symptoms. Worse right side. Hot bathing aggravates the  pain in hip.

### Eyes
- Eyes, red, swollen and watery, burn with coryza.
- Hot and corroding lachry mation during coryza.

- Eye pain from walking in wind.

### Ears
- Numbness below ears.

### Face
- Face bloated, red and hot, during coryza.
- Red, itching, burning and swol len.
- Stiffness in lower jaws 
when biting.
- Twitching in left lower jaw.

### Mouth
- Dry mouth.
- Hot breath.
- Mouth sore and ulcerated.
- Lips dry and hot.
- Gums swollen and sore.
- Gums 
feel as if scalded, with salivation.
- Gums painful when touched.
- Nose - Coryza with hot face, itching and hoarseness.
- Coryza, burning hot wa ter runs from nose, excoriating 
edges of nostrils.
- Sore nose.
- Thick, yellow discharge.
- Violent itching in tip of nose.

### Throat
- Hoarseness during coryza.
- Sore throat during coryza.
- Violently inflamed throat, with pain when 
swallowing, worse right side.
- Angina with much heat in throat and several little ulcers.
- Itching of external throat.
- Tongue - The tongue coated white and shows imprint of the teeth.
- Tongue white.
- slimy, furred.

### Chest
- Chilliness extending into chest.
- Pulsation under sternum.
- Small blisters filled with blood on left side of 
chest.
- Sensation as if a heavy load were lying on chest.
- Pains in region of heart after mental disturbances.
- Sharp pain in heart.
- Can lie only on left side in heart 
disease.
- Pulse accelerated in morning (Sulph.).
- Great difficulty in breathing, with sneezing, coryza, lachrymation.
- Kidneys - Hot urine in evening.
- Red, sandy sediment.

### Stomach & Abdomen
- Hot eructations as of bile, with throbbing through whole body.
- Pressure in region of stomach.
- Empty 
retching and ■cutting in belly.
- Nausea towards morning.
- Nausea with headache, in morning.
- Temperature - Chilliness on occiput, neck and chest.
- No appetite.
- Aversion to wine and alcoholic drinks.
- Great desire for brandy or alcoholic drinks.
- Worse 
after brandy.

### Urinary & Genital
- Itching on scrotum.
- Itching on glans.
- Prepuce swollen.
- Chancres with burning pain.
- Offensive sweat 
on genitals.

### Extremities

### Neck & Back
- Chilliness in neck, during headache.
- Numbness and lameness sensation of right lumbar region.

in spine between scapulae.
- Sharp pain behind scapulae.
- Crawling sensation on back.
- Feeling as if a furuncle 
would form.
- Weakness of neck.
