## Keynote Indications
This salt has been well proved by A. M. Cushing. Nervous constitu tions. Markedly affects 
the eyes and ovaries. In the morning, the eyes are red and sore with mucus in comers (worse left eye). Dull 
pain in left ovary, with hard swelling. Obesity. 
 
 
Indicated in laryngeal and pharyngeal ca tarrh. Chronic laryngeal catarrh o f speakers. Sudden strangling, 
suffocating, cough. Suf focating sensation before epilepsy. Irritable feeling in fingernails, better by biting it. 
Constrictive pain in head, chest, legs.

## Modalities (Aggravations / Ameliorations)
Better from warmth and warm drinks. Worse in open air. Worse cold air. Many symptoms occur 
on waking. Worse 3 a.m.

## Symptoms by System

### Head
- Cerebral congestion.
- Feeling of a band above ears.
- Sneezing, thick nasal discharge.

### Eyes
- Edges of lids red and swollen, also Meibomian glands.
- Eyeballs feel large.

### Throat
- Smarting in mouth.

- White, sticky mucus.
- Chronic speakers' catarrh.
- COMMENTS - The mucus of Am -br.
- is apt to be stringy.
- A sudden desire to cough, so sud den it causes 
strangling.
- Sudden, short cough when rising in morning from accumulation of mucus in throat.
- Cough at 3 a.m.
- Indicated in epilepsy when the aura begins with a fainting or suffocating sensation at epigastrium, rising up 
both sides of sternum to throat.
- There is an irritable feeling under fingernails, better only by biting them.
- Must walk about for fear of suffocation.

### Chest
- Sudden, short cough, strangling.
- Tickling in trachea and bronchial tubes.
- Wakes at 3 a.m.
- with cough.
- Feels suffocated, continuous cough, when lying down at night, sharp pain in lungs.
- Whooping cough.
