## Keynote Indications
Source: Derived from the fruiting body of  Agaricus muscarius  (syn.  Amanita muscaria ), a toxic. mushroom in the Amanitaceae family, commonly known as Fly Agaric. Traditional  Context:  Historically  used  in  homeopathy  for  neurological  and  neuromuscular. disorders, characterized by twitching, tremors, spasms, and sensory hypersensitivity. It is also. noted  for  mental  symptoms  like  confusion,  excitability,  or  delirium,  often  linked  to  physical. complaints, and for conditions aggravated by cold or alcohol. Modern Context: Indicated for neuromuscular dysfunction, such as tremors, muscle spasms, or. choreiform  movements,  and  neuropsychiatric  symptoms,  including  anxiety,  cognitive  fog,  or. sensory overload. It suits patients with heightened neurological sensitivity, often resembling early. movement disorders or functional neurological conditions, accompanied by psychological distress.

- COMMENTS - Mushrooms are among the articles of diet forbidden to persons of the hydrogenoid constitution, 
in which the patients are exceedingly sensitive to cold and damp.
- Agreeing with this, in the provings of Agaricus 
is a great sensitiveness to cold air.
- In skin disorders and brain exhaustions, give the lower potencies.
- A left -
sided remedy.
- Talcott considered Agar, the most similar to general paralysis of all the remedies, with exalted notions of 
grandeur and power, hilarity and excitement followed by depression, confusion, imbecility.

burning of the extremities, as if they are on fire.

- They can also have sun headaches (Nat-m.).

- Used for sudden, morning diarrhea  
that smells like sulphur (Aloe, Sulph., Rumx.).

- Sexual desire enormous and enthusiastic 
with relaxed penis and impotence.
- Bearing down pains in the pelvis as if everything will come with acrid, vaginal discharge with itching of the 
vagina.
- Also for spasmodic chronic hiccups (Nux-v.) and herpes on the lips that burn and smart.

patients requiring Agar, pass little urine (opp.
- Ign.), though the bladder may be irritable.
- Clinical for alcoholism, intoxication, hangovers, DTs, the shakes.

twitches or convulsions, frothing at the mouth with arching of the back (Nux -v.).
